The Account will play a crucial role in our finance department by supporting various accounting activities, including financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting. As a member of the Administration division the Account will be charged with promoting the Buchanan values of Determination, Integrity, Safety, and Community in everything they do.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Month end expense recording & accruals
- Ensure compliance with accounting and financial regulations
- Account reconciliations
- Maintaining general ledger
- Audit preparations
- Fixed Assets-Setting up, updating and maintaining
- Recording & tracking reserves
- Ensure the travel & entertainment policy is followed
- Ensure all monthly costs are accounted for and allocated appropriately
- Customer volume incentives/rebates
- Claims and Excess Cargo
- Work closely with Settlements
- Preparing & recording bad debt
- Track equipment rentals
Qualifications
- Knowledge of GAAP
- 3-5 years of experience
- McLeod experience preferred
