Buckeye Power Sales is a Growth-Oriented Company Seeking a Sales Representative for our Power Construction Equipment Division!

Buckeye Power Sales has been providing on site power solutions for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities and homeowners since 1947, which makes us the oldest Rehlko (formerly Kohle r) generator distributor in the country. We are also a distributor of Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of power generation applications such as combined heat and power, waste to power, prime, and continuous. From power generation to light construction to grounds care – we have the machines, equipment, parts, programs & service to help you get the job done.

    Our PCE Sales Representative are responsible for :

  • Performing sales calls in person, over the phone and via e-mail
  • Developing a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling, direct mail activities and networking
  • Managing selling activities to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Working with customers to resolve problems and provide solutions
  • Seeking and continuously developing knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicating this to relevant company staff
  • Recording and updating all activities in CRM utilizing it to follow up on quotes and sell benefits of BPS
  • Responsible for profit & loss of branch rental department
  • Visiting customer job sites as needed for sales / estimating / customer service purposes
  • Providing recommendations and develop strategies on how to improve quality and quantity of services provided
  • Providing estimates on equipment sizing required to meet power needs

  • Conforms with the core values of BPS
  • High School diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
  • 18 years of age
  • 2 yrs experience in sales and / or customer service desired but not high priority
  • Basic knowledge of the workings of diesel generators or willingness and ability to train and enhance knowledge of generators
  • Valid driver's license; able to meet and maintain insurance criteria for insurability;
  • Ability to get and maintain DOT medical card
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to influence others
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Capable of preserving confidential and sensitive material
  • Proven ability to pay attention to detail
  • Able to work well unsupervised; able to work independently
  • Able to work flexible hours including occasional overtime
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task required
  • Computer skills to include MS office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); data entry
  • Must always represent the company in a positive manner including a professional appearance
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including afterhours and weekends based on customer requirements
