Responsibilities
- To ensure the cleanliness and safety of university grounds, perform routine maintenance duties such as lawn care, planting flowers or shrubs, removing dead leaves, picking up trash, and emptying recyclables.
- Collaborate closely with the management team to identify new projects or enhancements for campus spaces.
- Promote sustainability through efficient use of resources and energy conservation techniques.
- In case of adverse weather conditions, implement preventative measures to protect people and assets, such as applying salt to icy surfaces or sanding down slippery paths.
- Develop and improve personal knowledge of different gardening practices and material handling techniques.
Additional Requirements
- A current driver’s license.
- Previous experience working outdoors and exposure to extreme temperatures, potential windstorms, lightning, etc.
