The ideal candidate possesses solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. In this role, the position will work closely with all BIS departments as well as the corporate finance team.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation.
- Assist with monthly rebate process.
- Assist with monthly freight billings.
- Produce timely, efficient, and accurate month-end close and reports.
- Monitor and perform inventory adjustments due to shipping, receiving and/or pricing errors by issuing credits or adjusting inventory layers in coordination with our China office. Also communicate with overseas manufacturers regarding payment and billing issues.
- Setup and maintain A/P vendors as it relates to new vendors and banking information for EFT/ACH payments.
- Invoices – Ensure each invoice is audited and then approved. Determine the proper general ledger coding and all pertinent information needed to include in the payment process.
- Perform additional duties as requested by management.
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting policies and bookkeeping procedures and controls.
- Advanced proficiency within Excel required. AS400 experience desirable.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with significant business volumes.
- Analytical and forward-thinking skills are required.
- Possess the ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Must be detailed oriented.
