This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education. As a Administrative Support Specialist you will be responsible for planning, programming, and following through to completion of administrative/program support assignments.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
GS-9: 1-year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal service that includes: Providing administrative assistance; Responding to inquiries, providing information, clarification, and support as needed; Collecting and compiling program data; Gathering background material, files, and reports needed to respond to incoming requests; Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of program information; Conducting program evaluations and assessments; Identifying areas for program improvement.

EDUCATION: Possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Major study -- physical education.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Combination of graduate level education and specialized experience when combined together meets 100% of the total requirements for the position. To compute, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.
