Job Description
Bureau of Reclamation is seeking a highly skilled Water Management Specialist to join our team in Boulder City, Nevada. As an Assistant Regional Director, you will play a critical role in the management of water resources and operations in the West.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the Regional Director in their absence, with primary line supervision of Power Operations, Engineering Services, Natural Resources, Security, Safety, and the operation of Phoenix and Lower Colorado Dams Area Offices.
- Planning, organizing, and directing the operations of offices and assigned programs.
- Determining program goals, objectives, and priorities; allocating resources and delegating authority and responsibilities.
- Leading and implementing Region's strategic plan focused on organizational improvement, including accountability for metrics, milestones, and measures.
- Representing the Regional Director in meetings, conferences, and public appearances.
Requirements
GS-15: To qualify for the GS-15 grade level, your resume must clearly reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the GS-14 grade level.
You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 11/12/2024.
This position requires a fully completed and favorably adjudicated National Security Background Investigation (T5 or T5R or equivalent) that is current (within the last 5 years).
The estimated salary for this position is $166,500 per year, based on the location in Boulder City, Nevada, and the job requirements.
