Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for an Environmental Manager to join our team in our Boise office.
B&N Environmental Manager Responsibilities:
- Perform National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Compliance for a variety of federal agencies in Idaho and the Western U.S.
- Perform Section 404/401 permitting
- Perform stormwater permitting
- Read, analyze, and interpret plan sheets, technical procedures, government regulations and industry standards
- Monitor all financial aspects of the project including invoicing, budget status, accounts receivable, and monthly reports.
- Write proposals and scope of works.
- Conduct project pursuit activities including marketing, proposal development, grant funding assistance, general business development, and attending/presenting at conferences
- Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Develop and implement business development growth plan for environmental services including client relations and proposal development
- Work with office manager to support the growth of the Boise office and other Pacific Northwest offices
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills with experience maintaining client relationships
- Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
- Experience mentoring and coaching staff and ability to closely collaborate with other disciplines and offices
- Microsoft Office proficiency required. Experience with GIS and CAD a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Environmental or Ecological Engineering, or related degree; Master’s degree preferred
- 10 years of related experience with a strong background in NEPA compliance and documentation preferred.
