Shipping/Receiving Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Management & Optimization:
• • Oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving departments, ensuring all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of warehouse processes and layouts, utilizing lean methodologies to optimize space, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Set up, maintain, and improve warehouse systems, ensuring all operations meet safety, quality, and performance standards.
• International Shipping & Documentation:
• • Manage the preparation of international shipments, including crating, packaging, labeling, and ensuring all required export/import documentation (e.g., invoices, bills of lading, customs paperwork) is accurate and compliant with international regulations.
  • Stay current with import/export laws and regulations to ensure smooth international logistics operations.
• Leadership & Team Development:
• • Lead and supervise a team of shipping and receiving clerks, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and accuracy.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among the warehouse staff.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure team members are knowledgeable about safety protocols, operational procedures, and industry best practices.
• Inventory Management:
• • Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels, proper labeling, and timely stock audits.
  • Work closely with the procurement and inventory teams to coordinate the timely movement of goods, track shipments, and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
• Process Improvement:
• • Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes, striving to reduce costs, minimize errors, and improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to track departmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leverage lean principles to streamline operations, improve productivity, and reduce lead times.
