What are the responsibilities and job description for the TR Support Staff position at Burlington Parks & Recreation?
Scope of Services:
Provide an opportunity through recreation programs for people of all abilities to participate in a continuum of activities designed to enhance their social and leisure skills.
Supervision:
Supervision Scope: Exercises considerable initiative, creativity, and independent judgment in planning, administering, and delivering programming, and in directing personnel
Supervision Received: Works under the supervision of the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist; functions independently referring specific problems to supervisor only where clarification or interpretation of policies or procedures is required.
Essential Functions:
- Skill development in community integration
- Foster open and effective communication within the department and with other entities
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- General knowledge of program organization and implementation
- Ability to instruct, lead and supervise individual and/or group activities
