Bookkeeper

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
• Verify that transactions are recorded correctly to account for accurate reporting
• Enter data, maintain records and payroll reports, and financial statements
• Work closely with accounting team to create and analyze financial reports
• Process invoices, accounts payable, and tax payments
• Process accounts receivable
• Process payroll
• Perform job costing

Necessary skills and requirements

• Proven bookkeeping experience
• Quickbooks Online experience and proficiency
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent communication - written and verbal in English
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Willing to wear multiple hats and perform a somewhat diverse set of responsibilities
• Must be friendly, able to engage with coworkers, and be a team player
• Able and willing to commute to office in Commerce Township, Michigan. This is not a remote or hybrid position.

• $60,000 - $65,000 starting salary
