Job Summary
Fulltime Bookkeeper /Accountant needed for family-owned Property Managment company in Ann Arbor. Familiarity with Rent Maner software a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Tasks to be covered include Payroll, invoicing, accounts payable/ receivable, and monitoring the epay rent collection system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the organization's financial status.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Assist in technical accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits and tax preparation.
- Stay updated on financial concepts and changes in accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
- Familiarity with public accounting practices is a plus.
- Proficient in Rent Manager and other accounting software applications.
- Excellent skills in financial report writing and account analysis.
- Understanding of debits, credits, and basic financial concepts.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.
