POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, workforce development, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Workforce Development:
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment for both clinical and non-clinical positions (job descriptions, job posting, recruiting, screening/interviewing, background checks, onboarding, training, etc.)
- Manage onboarding and credentialing processes to ensure compliance with healthcare, Indian Health Services (IHS), and AAAHC regulations.
- Develop and implement workforce development initiatives, including career pathways, upskilling programs, and professional development.
- Facilitate and coordinate learning experiences for interns and students including clinical rotations, practicums, and shadowing opportunities.
Employee Relations and Compliance:
- Serve as HR resource for employees and management, for workplace policies and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare industry laws (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, ADA).
- Coordinate with management to investigate and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and workplace disputes.
- Assist with policy and procedure development, continuous quality improvement projects, project management efforts, and employee wellness.
Benefits:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
- Assist with benefit plan renewal.
- Support workers compensation and disability claims processing.
Training and Performance Management:
- Coordinate with management to develop and implement training.
- Monitor and track employee training, CEUs, and other professional licensing requirements.
- Develop performance review process and support employee growth through coaching and feedback.
- Provide management with information or training related to performance reviews, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
Data Management & Payroll:
- Maintain employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare and maintain employee records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Generate HR reports and analytics to support data-driven decision making.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace and general office machinery.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or
- Education or experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience must be in a Human Resource capacity, preferably in both healthcare and administrative workforce environments.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential job duties may require occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling medical or educational supplies and equipment. The ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and utilize reaching, handling, fingering, and feeling movements is required. The ability to hear normal conversational discussion and near and far visual clarity, or equivalent adaptation, is required. The employee may risk exposure to potentially dangerous situations, including exposure to communicable diseases.
