Position Overview
By Light is seeking a Program Warranty Administrator to support the RVCT program warranty management process. This role will serve as the warranty control administrator, overseeing all warranty claims submitted through the RVCT help desk and ensuring efficient resolution. The Program Warranty Administrator will be responsible for analyzing reported issues, coordinating resolution efforts, tracking parts returns, and ensuring proper disposition at By Light under the established warranty guidelines.
Responsibilities
Typical duties include but are not limited to the following:
Warranty Management & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all RVCT warranty claims.
- Review and analyze warranty requests to determine appropriate resolution paths.
- Work closely with Product Control (PC) and Program Management (PM) teams to coordinate necessary actions.
- Ensure all warranty activities across the organization are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
- Track and manage returned parts, ensuring they are properly received and disposed of under warranty guidelines.
- Interface with the RVCT help desk to intake and manage warranty claims.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and customers regarding claim status and resolution progress.
- Coordinate meetings with Field Services, Logistics, and Quality Assurance to ensure streamlined issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of warranty claims, actions taken, and resolution timelines.
- Develop warranty performance metrics to assess response times and identify improvement areas.
- Assist in refining warranty processes to enhance efficiency and compliance with program requirements.
Required Experience/Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in project coordination, warranty administration, or customer support roles.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and project management tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, logistics, and field service teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in project coordination, warranty administration, or customer support roles.
- Experience in defense contracting, VR/AR technology, or complex product support environments.
- Familiarity with DoD contracts, warranty administration, and logistics operations.
- Exposure to Agile project management methodologies.
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit for extended periods.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift 45lbs unassisted.
- Occasional travel to Orlando may be required.
