Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Supervisor to join our team. The Floor Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our production facility, ensuring that all production targets are met while maintaining high quality standards. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers, ensuring that they adhere to safety protocols and follow standard operating procedures
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Schedule and assign tasks to production staff, ensuring that all shifts are adequately staffed
- Train new employees on production procedures and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and maintenance, to address any issues or concerns that may arise during production
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain accurate production records and reports
- Implement and enforce FDA regulations, HACCP guidelines, and other relevant industry standards
- Troubleshoot any mechanical or operational issues that may occur during production
- Ensure that the production area is clean, organized, and sanitary
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food processing and packaging procedures in the food industry
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to operate a forklift and other relevant equipment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot machinery issues
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Attention to detail to ensure high quality standards are met
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
