Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Department: Human Resource
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Position Summary:
Perform Human Resources-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, employment, policies, on-boarding, health insurance, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Implements human resources programs including recruiting, onboarding, terminations, employee relations and retention, and employment compliance.
· Performs benefits administration to include processing new applications and cancellations, approving invoices, resolving billing issues, and communicating benefit information to employees
· Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions
· Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information, recommending courses of action
· Improves employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating potential solutions; implementing PIPs; coaching and counseling managers and employees
· Completes special projects per project objective(s); conducts research; develops and organizes information
· Confers with management to develop or implement employee policy changes
· Protects company’s value by keeping information confidential
· Maintain and update human resources documents (including the Employee Handbook) and records.
· Support business development activities and coordinate company meetings/schedules
· Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
· Performs other tasks and duties as assigned
· Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times
· Observe and adhere to all company policies
· Attend Ops Meetings and other required meetings
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of human resource experience
· Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and employee relations
· People Skills Required

Work Environment:
· Majority of work in an office setting upstairs
· Exposure to extreme temperature variations
· Falling hazards from working in a warehouse
· The noise level in the work environment can be loud
Physical Demands:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s essential functions require the following physical demands:
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time
· Ability to make daily rounds in the warehouse
