Position Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cabinet shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and a proven track record in managing and optimizing production processes. This role requires a proactive leader to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in our custom cabinetry manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities :
Leadership and Management :
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of production staff, including CNC operators, woodworkers, and assembly workers.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging team members to achieve their best.
CNC Programming and Production Optimization :
Develop, implement, and oversee CNC programming for custom cabinetry production.
Continuously assess and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Quality Control :
Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.
Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management :
Manage inventory levels, order materials, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Optimize supply chain processes to minimize waste and reduce production costs.
Project Management :
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of customer orders.
Collaborate with sales and design teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into production.
Health and Safety Compliance :
Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Conduct regular safety training sessions and audits.
Continuous Improvement :
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in CNC technology.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production management role, preferably in the cabinetry or woodworking industry
Proficiency in CNC programming and operation, with a deep understanding of CAD / CAM software
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Proven track record of optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement
