Overview
The Preschool Director is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our part- time hands on learning, play based preschool programs. This position requires a passionate individual who is committed to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The Preschool Director will manage staff, assist teachers in developing their curriculum, and ensure compliance with educational and Quality First program standards while promoting a positive and engaging atmosphere for both children and families. Our program operates as a 501-c3 non profit organization where the Director also functions as the Executive Director of the Board.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the preschool staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes holistic child development.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
- Manage the preschool budget effectively, allocating resources to meet program needs while maintaining financial sustainability.
- Establish strategic planning initiatives to enhance program quality and community engagement.
- Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication and involvement in school activities.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and licensing requirements related to early childhood education.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes for children.
Skills
- A degree from a recognized university in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Proven experience in education administration, particularly within early childhood settings.
- Excellent management skills to support and guide staff in meeting their educational and training requirements.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Strong strategic planning abilities to set goals for program growth and improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with parents, staff, and the community.
