Position Description:THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Controller is responsible for the financial reporting, cost accounting and oversight of accounting operations for our Torrance operations. This position is heavily relied on to be a business partner to the President with strategic analysis and business financial modeling.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's financial functions and performance.
Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends.
Provide analysis, tools and metrics that assist the Company in achieving operational and financial excellence.
Develop a reliable cash flow projection process.
Participate and/or assist in new program contract bidding process to ensure required return on investment is met and appropriate margins are estimated.
Provide leadership, direction, coaching and mentoring to accounting staff and manage performance as needed.
Participate in Capital Expenditure Request process to ensure ROI goals are achieved and monitor spending.
Participate actively in the strategic direction and planning of the Company with President and management team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Finance or related area of study, at least five years of related experience preferably in the aerospace industry; or combination of education and experience.
CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
Experience Managing Processes, Financial Software, Developing Standards, Audit, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Tracking Budget Expenses, Financial Skills, Analyzing Information , Developing Budgets, Performance Management.
Understanding of a multi-process, job shop manufacturing environment. MRP / ERP experience required.
Excellent communication skills, ability to deal with people at all levels.
Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Experienced leader and financial executive with relevant manufacturing industry experience, preferably in aerospace.
Motivated, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards.
An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate and communicate effectively to people at all levels of the organization, including executive presentations.

Salary : $127,000 - $160,000
