Under the direct supervision of the Support Services Manager or Law Enforcement Commander, performs all clerical functions assigned to the Support Services Division including law enforcement and jail records, civil process, administrative reception and switchboard. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Receives telephone calls and visitors to Sheriff’s Department, answering questions, providing requested information, scheduling appointments or referring to appropriate individual.Process jail and law enforcement records which includes FOIA requests, verification of incarceration, sex offender registrations, citations, file maintenance and archiving.Processes money received for housing, emergency response, FOIA requests, background checks, writs, summons, etc.Processes background inquiries for governmental agencies and individuals.Processes warrants for L.E.I.N. entry and letters for L.E.I.N verification.Processes State abandoned vehicle forms including sending letters to owners and filling out L.E.I.N. entry forms for vehicles.Processes purchase permit requests. Processes and tracks criminal subpoenas and notices to appear.Performs other duties as assigned.
