Position Summary:
The Outside Territory Manager is required to maintain and increase Cali Floors market share and profitability in your geographical area. This is accomplished through the development of good relationships with our dealers and retail sales associates based on knowledge, service, trust, and integrity. Business growth will be accomplished through the implementation of major market programs and services, sample placement and inventory sales. You are expected to develop and manage an ongoing book of business as well as explore new business opportunities to achieve aggressive monthly sales goals.
Essential Duties:
Territory Planning & Strategy Development
- Analyze the assigned territory to identify potential customers and understand the competitive landscape.
- Develop and implement a territory-specific sales plan to meet sales targets and maximize profitability.
Sales and Relationship Management
- Must reside in Territory to have in person/in the field sales outreaching, communication on a regular basis.
- Actively prospect and generate leads through direct networking, referrals and outreach.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, including retail partners, contractors, designers, and builders.
- Conduct product presentations, in-person demos, and consultations to promote flooring products and solutions.
- Execute daily sales calls to existing dealer base with focused plan on driving sales in all product categories
- Must present complete product offering in the dealer channel to all stakeholders, including owners, retail sales associates, designers, project specifiers and end-users
- Sell/place display fixtures for all market programs and must be physically able to transport, construct and deconstruct display fixtures
- Prepare pricing quotes, negotiate terms, and close sales agreements to achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure that all contracts and agreements comply with company policies and profitability goals.
- Enhance relationships by actively engaging with our dealers on their key business drivers and proactively identifies sales opportunities
Negotiation and Deal Closure
- Prepare pricing quotes, negotiate terms, and close sales agreements to achieve revenue targets.

Reporting and Sales Forecasting
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales activities and report performance metrics to the sales leadership.
- Execute quarterly strategic sales plans that can be aligned and synchronized with annual company goals
- Achieve revenue growth through effective use of best practices sales principles
- Use CRM tools to document client interactions, update sales pipelines, and maintain accurate forecasts for the territory.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Cali Floors products and technologies, competitive products, and industry trends
- Gather insights on market trends, competitor products, and emerging customer preferences.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Sales Acumen: A strong understanding of sales cycles and proven ability to close/negotiate relationships.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, customer preferences and territory data to drive strategic decisions.
- Tools & Software: Proficiency in CRM software (Netsuite) and familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
- High-energy, self-starter with excellent communication skills
- Ability to quickly build rapport with prospective customers
- Ability to interface with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectable manner
- Travel requirements: Must reside in location of territory and travel from 51%-70% within designated territory, typically requiring a valid drivers license and a reliable vehicle.

Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Flooring industry (selling to dealers) experience is a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work will be performed traveling 51%-75% of the time and include driving a vehicle while also working at laptop/computer primarily in a remote setting.
