Role Overview:
Assist in the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services. Provide technical and administrative assistance to purchasing department. This position is not limited to the above description as other responsibilities may include tasks, projects, or plans given by
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders to suppliers using MRP
- Data entry
- Send Supplier Approval packet and kosher requests for all raw materials, follow-up with vendors as necessary to ensure completeness
- Assist Director of Purchasing, as needed
- General office duties
- Maintain contract balances for accuracy
- Verify all receiving documents for accuracy
- Scheduling inbound freight
- Telephone back up, as needed
- Maintain contact with vendor regarding order status
- Work with A/P regarding discrepancies in billing
- Perform responsibilities of Director of Purchasing as necessary
Qualifications:
- Data entry
- Basic knowledge of purchasing practices
- Demonstrated office skills
- Knowledge of complete supply chain
- Good organizational skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Works well within a team environment, as well as, independently
- Complete projects in timely manner
