This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the department’s administrative functions.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees the full range of administrative services functions
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of Human Resources, Business Services/Contract Management, Learning and Development, Public Records Act Administration, Recruitment and RetentioManage a line budget assignment for Finance as a control agency along with the operating departmental budget.
- Provide broad management direction to the Chief Information Office (CIO) who manages the Information Services Unit
- Work in conjunction with both the Chief of Administrative Services and the CIO to develop policies and procedures and provide policy guidance and direction.
Requirements:
- Extensive managerial and program administrative experience
- Experience including substantial responsibility for a combination of management functions such as program planning, policy formulation, organization coordination and control, and fiscal and personnel management.
- Knowledge of the organization and functions of California State Government
- Skilled in techniques of organizing and motivating groups, program development and evaluation.
- Highly knowledgeable in principles and practices of policy formulation and development.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of multidisciplinary professional and administrative staff.
- Experience analyzing administrative policies, organization, procedures, and practices.
- Ability to integrate the activities of a diverse program to attain common goals.
- Skilled in analyzation of complex problems and recommending effective courses of action
