Job description
The Medical Records Coordinator role requires strong positive phone etiquette. Maintain a strong relationship with callers and operations team. Obtain missing medical documents from referring providers and/or facilities. Follow up on medical records request in a timely manner. Answer high volume of calls; heavy data entry. Friendly, outgoing personality and positive personality is a must.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that all required medical documents are in patient charts
- Creating new patient charts
- Filing all incoming documents
- Request additional medical records as needed by staff or pharmacist
- Follow up on all medical record request in a timely manner
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor(s)
Job Requirements
- Exceptional Customer Service; Positive and Respectful attitude is a must.
- Strong attention to detail; Computer Knowledge is a required.
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
- Able to work well in a team to reach business goals.
- Able to work in a very fast pace and busy environment.
- Able to multi-task while keeping a calm and positive demeanor.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply.
- Medical or Pharmacy preferred but not required.
