Senator Josh Becker has been at the forefront of AI and tech policy, securing the passage of four AI bills signed by the Governor last year and leading efforts to advance privacy protections, AI transparency, and data broker regulations. Our office is looking for a Legislative Aide to join our team and work directly on these critical issues among others.
About the Role
As a Legislative Aide, you will play a key role in developing and managing a portion of the Senator’s legislative package, with a focus on technology, AI, privacy, and other key policy areas. You will:
✅ Research, draft, and negotiate legislative proposals
✅ Develop coalitions and stakeholder engagement strategies
✅ Staff the Senator in meetings and hearings
✅ Analyze complex policy issues and translate them into actionable solutions
Who We’re Looking For
We want a policy-minded, solutions-driven professional who:
✔ Has strong research, oral, and written communication skills
✔ Can analyze complex policy issues and communicate them effectively
✔ Works well under deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
✔ Has a passion for AI policy, technology regulation, and privacy law
Legislative experience is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Compensation & Benefits
💰 Salary: $5,384 - $8,406/month (Senior Step: $8,616 - $10,244/month)
