Job Overview
This position is responsible for ensuring that quality systems and standards are adhered to. The qualified candidate will perform daily process audits and cosmetic inspections throughout the golf ball manufacturing process, and alert supervision when there are any quality issues.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Performs process audits across all departments
- Enters data into quality spreadsheets and databases, and produces graphical summaries of the data
- Analyzes cosmetic data and makes process change recommendations to reduce scrap
- Inspects and categorizes output from Robo Logo and Sentry Machines
- Ensures that operators are performing and recording quality checks
- Perform AOQ audits on packaged product
- Signs off on first articles of inspection
- Reports any non-conformities to supervisors and set-up people and works with them to implement corrective actions
- Provides support to production supervisors on questions of cosmetic quality
- Assists engineering in the collection and reporting of quality data from pilot runs
- Perform essential quality lab technician functions as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
- Use and understand a wide variety of manufacturing equipment and programs to enhance and support manufacturing processes
- Excellent process identification, evaluation, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from management and other departments.
- Ability to work independently and rapidly adapt and respond to priority changes based on business needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to deal responsively with management and peers.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High School diploma, Associate’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of both education and experience.
- This job will require constant walking and occasionally lifting of baskets of Golf Balls, in excess of 25lbs.
- Factory, exposure to noise, heat in some departments and cold conditions in others.
