Position Overview
As the MHEC Program Coordinator, you will serve as the primary liaison for MHEC doulas and clients. Your role is crucial in connecting expectant mothers with essential healthcare and community resources while advocating for their well-being. You will manage community outreach, coordinate referrals, and support program administration, ensuring that every client receives compassionate, high-quality care.

What You’ll Do -
Community Engagement & Resource Connection
- Build Partnerships: Collaborate with Catholic Health OBGYN and Midwifery offices to identify and enroll eligible high-risk pregnant women and individuals.
- Community Outreach: Engage with community organizations and attend local events to raise program awareness.
- Resource Navigation: Assist clients with accessing healthcare, social services, health insurance, and other critical resources.
Advocacy & Client Support
- Client Advocacy: Ensure the voices and needs of our clients are heard by making effective referrals to social workers, case managers, and community-based organizations.
- Empowerment: Facilitate self-sufficiency among clients by promoting informed decision-making using tools like the Passport to Health questionnaire and Health Passport booklet.
Program Administration & Coordination
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate client records, monitor program engagement, and report on progress to ensure the success of MHEC.
- Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the leadership team to assess program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Compliance: Uphold program policies, confidentiality, and professionalism in all administrative responsibilities.
- Administration: The role will also involve collaborating with the CNDSC administrative team to support other areas of need within the organization.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Internal & External Collaboration: Coordinate with CNDSC staff, Catholic Health, and diverse community partners to share insights, improve outcomes, and foster a supportive environment for clients and colleagues.

What We’re Looking For -
Educational Requirements & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, community development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Previous experience in community outreach, program coordination, or healthcare navigation is preferred.
- Familiarity with local community resources and services is a plus.

You will be based at the Maternal Health Equity Center suite at Sisters Hospital, with additional engagements at Catholic Health Offices and CNDSC.
