General Job Description
Coordinating the Westside congregation by maintaining the core values of Calvary Church while leading and building a culturally distinct campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are included but not limited to:
Coordinator Care and Leadership
Service Planning and Preparation
- Collaborate with Osuna Campus teams to plan corporate worship services at CCWS that are culturally distinctive while adhering to Calvary Church's core values.
Preparation
- Work with the CCWS team and volunteers to create a ready, clean, and nondistracting environment.
- Communicate effectively with the team and volunteers to ensure smooth service execution.
- Send bi-weekly emails to CCWS servants for preparation.
Pre-Service
- Ensure volunteers accomplish assigned tasks.
- Set up new volunteers to shadow and learn procedures and ministry principles.
Service
- Oversee service flow to ensure it is smooth and distraction-free
- Ensure announcements are communicated clearly and effectively.
Facilitate altar calls.
- Alert security and volunteers of any concerns, if necessary.
- Provide Coordinator oversight to close out services.
Post-Service
- Collect tithes or ensure proper collection procedures are followed.
Event Planning and Oversight
- Plan and oversee specific CCWS event
- Conduct meetings for event planning, including E-Space. scheduling and purchase orders (POs).
- Manage event volunteers.
- Maintain a ministry-focused mindset when planning the flow and order o services.
- Participate in production meetings to coordinate events effectively.
Coordinator Responsibilities
- Attend Coordinator meetings at the Osuna Campus as assigned.
- Respond to emails and letters as directed.
- Oversee or participate in special events and concerts as needed.
- Utilize mandatory church systems for administrative processes, including Ministry Platform, Paylocity, and eSpace (training provided by Calvary Church).
Facility Maintenance and Presentation
- Ensure the CCWS campus is prepared for service days and ministry opportunities.
- Maintain janitorial stock and general cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, restocking toiletries).
-Notify the maintenance team of any issues requiring attention.
- Work to improve the facility for services and events.
Team Collaboration
- Work effectively with the CCWS SoPo Manager and staff. (note: The SoPo Manager reports to a different overseer.)
ESSENTIAL TASKS
Daily (While on the Clock):
- Make and return phone calls.
- Write and reply to emails.
- Meet with staff, ministry leadership, or congregants to address needs and concerns.
- Run services or events as scheduled.
Weekly:
- Provide general ministry support for all ministries and individuals associated with CCWS.
Monthly:
- Participate in baptisms (warmer months).
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Character: - Teachable and spiritually gifted.
- Christ-centered heart to serve.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of committed ministry involvement required.
- School of Ministry or equivalent preferred.
Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, reflecting the demeanor of an ambassador of Christ.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently, accept direction, and take initiative.
- Proficient in maintaining confidentiality
Technical Skills: - Proficient with Mac or PC systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
