What are the responsibilities and job description for the Campus Pastor position at Calvary?
Role Summary: The Campus Pastor is responsible for the implementation of Calvary’s vision, mission, culture, programs and worship at the Minnetonka campus. The Campus Pastor will identify, develop, pour into and lead a core team composed of campus staff and mission owning volunteers to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus. Role Responsibilities:
- Implement Calvary’s mission, vision, goals, values, and ministry strategies
- Develop a core team of leaders who own the mission, love serving and give sacrificially
- Serve on the Preaching Team and regularly preach at the campus as scheduled
- Leadership of most worship services (hosting, culture development)
- Model relational ministry, regularly meeting, equipping and coaching volunteer leaders
- Build relationships with young families in the community and the campus
- Lead special campus events providing leadership and support: Kick-off, Christmas, Holy Week, Easter, VBS, Trunk or Treat, etc.
- Create and manage campus special events budget
- Teach/facilitate campus studies and classes
- Implement and oversee campus Alpha program
- Perform baptisms (infant, adult, believer), dedications, funerals, and weddings
- Ensure the capture and measurement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Key Relationships:
- Staff: Campus Kids & YTH Director, Campus Worship Leader, Facilities Services Staff
- Volunteers: Core team
Personal Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a growth mindset continuously seeking ways to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus which includes evaluating your ministry against corporate goals and personal performance
- Live in such a way that your witness, example, service to others, and worship does not become a stumbling block. (I Timothy 3:2 and Acts 15:19)
- Tithe (10%) of income to Jesus and the mission of Calvary
- Continuously strive to live out Calvary’s mission, vision and values
Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial, goal driven, and highly relational
- Effective and clear communicator, personable, empathetic, yet mission focused
- Professionally holds the tension between church values, direction and decision making
- Master’s degree in ministry-related field or equivalent experience
- Loves to have fun, exudes joy
