Every day, Cambia’s dedicated team of Tax Disbursements & Vendor Admins are living our mission to make health care easier and lives better. As a member of the Finance Operations team, our Tax Disbursements & Vendor Admins direct oversight of entire 1099/1096/1042 process. They are responsible for maintaining Sales and Use Tax monthly state filings, maintaining the vendor database, creation/Maintenance of Department metrics, supporting all department system testing, and management of department related projects.

Tax Disbursements & Vendor Administrator would have an Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Attributes:
Demonstrated knowledge of 1099/1096/1042 reporting requirements and all related processes.
Possess strong leadership skills, specific experience in leading cross functional teams, project management.
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, excellent communication, a customer service orientation, tolerance for ambiguity, demonstrated sound decision making, exercise good judgment in confidential matters and demonstrated analytical skills.
Ability to plan and organize own work to meet deadlines.
Ability to work flexible hours during periods of heavy workloads.
What You Will Do at Cambia:
Responsible for managing cross functional team during peak season with the focus being accurate and timely completion of annual 1099/1096/1042 process. Includes the following: Preparation, filing and mailing of forms to recipients; reconciling payments reported to source financial reports; following up on questions from providers and other 1099 recipients; handling B-Notice requirements and assisting other departments to ensure that necessary corrections to business names, addresses and tax identification numbers (TINs) are made.
Has direct oversight for timely and accurate completion of Sales and Use tax filings, including preparing sections of corporate tax provisions, estimated tax payment calculations, and tax return work papers using financial information from various systems and manual sources. Coordinates and reviews source material for accuracy with appropriate departments. Investigates any unusual transactions or activities.
Prepares Ad-hoc analysis as requested related to 1099/1096/1042, sales and use tax reporting. Acts a liaison to the Tax and Procurement Departments.
Supports preparation of required monthly journal entries.
Oversees Vendor Master database; including set up of new vendors, approval of set ups, ongoing maintenance to ensure accuracy of data and maintain Medicare compliance.
Ability to analyze production data and create meaningful department metrics that are utilized to evaluate overall volume of work associated with key tasks. Must be proficient in Excel, and skilled at data mining/manipulation.
Project management of inter-department projects including, building a work plan, outlining necessary resources needed, judging overall impact to complete, and clear understanding of appropriately involving management in key decision making.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role that requires a combination of remote and in-office work. You will be expected to work at least one to two days per month in our Portland office, with the possibility of additional in-office days as needed.
The expected hiring range for a Tax Disbursements & Vendor Admin is $57,000 - $73,000/year depending on skills, experience, education, and training; relevant licensure / certifications; and performance history. The bonus target for this position is 5%. The current full salary range for this role is $57,000 - $95,000/year.
