What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Manager position at CAMBRIA?
This position is responsible for the planning and purchasing of raw materials for the Cambria Processing Facility, in accordance to the company’s policies, along with safety, quality and production expectations. The qualified candidate will be an integral member of the Management team and reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented, creative problem solver and highly driven.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage, motivate, and mentor the raw material purchasing staff to continuously improve skills and team performance. Maintain cross-training program to assure highly-qualified backups for every function. Encourage teamwork within the purchasing team to ensure that inventories are at correct levels, avoiding back orders or stock outs and maintain set purchasing strategies.
- Ensure that Cambria’s raw material suppliers and partners are delivering goods to Cambria in compliance with all state, federal, and international laws/regulations, as well as Cambria’s specifications.
- Build, enhance and maintain relationships with all supplier to insure open and continues communication in regards to supply chain market conditions, external challenges and dynamic forecasts.
- Create, maintain and update Purchasing procedures, processes, and policies.
- Proactively work with Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Finance to drive and sustain excellent service performance.
- Lead improvement projects as identified by management
- Advance knowledge of Oracle, Excel, Tableau and other company technology systems.
- Perform job duties safely as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Additional duties as assigned by management
