Camp Chateaugay is located in the Adirondacks of New York on the beautiful shores of Chateaugay Lake. We are a coed traditional children's camp for ages 7-17 with an incredible collection of activities and facilities.
Job Description
Camp Chateaugay is seeking Registered, RN Nurses, licensed in New York State, ready to take on the challenges and excitement of a summer camp experience. Our medical staff are caring individuals who exhibit good communication and organizational skills. We have a team of 3 Nurses & a Doctor onsite, servicing the needs of both staff and campers, responding to illnesses and injuries during the day or at night, and manage all aspects of our health center (Pillbox).
Responsibilities
- Dispense medication
- Initial Health Screening of Campers
- First aid for minor injuries
- Ensure health and safety of campers and staff
- Conduct inventory of supplies and place orders when necessary
- Daily Health Surveillance of Campers
- Storage & Administration of Medicines
- Reporting of Incidents
- Communicating specific camper health needs (allergies, special diets, etc.) to staff
- Medical record keeping
- Collaborate with local pharmacies, hospitals, and Doctors
- Communicate with parents & guardians
- Packaging and preparing of medication for camper trips
- Periodic night on-call duty
- Responding to emergencies that may arise

Camp Chateaugay offers a health care facility with comfortable, private living accommodations for
our medical staff. Camp Chateaugay offers a competitive salary, room and board, travel allowance, & laundry services. As an added perk, Nurses with camp-aged children are able to have their children.
Salary : $4000-5000 for the summer
