Summary
As Camp Thorpe's Summer Camp Kitchen Staff, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the smooth operation of our camp kitchen. With core skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service, you will assist in meal preparation and ensuring quality food for campers. Join us in providing delicious and wholesome meals for campers to enjoy during their stay.
This position is a supporting role in the kitchen at a summer camp for individuals with disabilities in Goshen, VT. It is a fast-paced environment where timeliness and cleanliness are essential.
This position does NOT provide housing on campus. This is a summer position starting the week of June 9 and ends August 10.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in meal prep and cooking.
- Set up, broke down, and cleaned the kitchen and dining hall.
- Some laundry service.
Experience:
- Experience in the food industry, focusing on food prep and cooking.
- You have demonstrated the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Understanding dietary alternatives is a HUGE plus.
- Ability to take direction well and thrive in a supporting role.
