Windridge Tennis & Sports Camps is seeking a hard-working, organized, detail oriented, self-motivated Executive Chef to join our team. Our camp operates from June through August and is located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. We have approximately 150 campers (ages 7-15) and 95 staff members living at camp throughout the summer. We have a staff of nine to ten working in the kitchen, and the chef and team would be responsible for providing three meals a day and keeping the kitchen area clean.
Responsibilities
The Executive Chef will manage the kitchen, develop menus and create kid-friendly and healthy meals. The ideal candidate for this position is creative, enthusiastic and passionate about food. Those with previous experience are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
- Previous camp chef/kitchen experience: 2 years
- Experience in a camp or institutional food-service setting
- Ability to help with the supervision of food service staff and make scheduling assignments
- Ability to help create healthy menus
- Ability to help deal with food vendors and order quality food
- Ability to help train staff in proper food service policies and procedures
- Ability to help prepare a variety of food for different diets
- Ability to relate to people of a variety of ages
- Ability to accept guidance and supervision
- Good character, integrity, and adaptability
- Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
- Desire and ability to work in a camp setting
Pay: $1,500.00 - $1,700.00 per week
- Compensation is based on experience… a travel stipend, room and board included. This contract is based on a 6 day working week with 1 day off.
Salary : $6,000 - $6,800
