Camp Danbee, a premier girls' summer camp in the beautiful Berkshires of Massachusetts, is seeking a culinary arts program director to lead our vibrant and engaging culinary studio for the upcoming summer season.
This leadership role focuses on managing the culinary arts program, coordinating daily cooking classes, overseeing culinary staff, and creating a supportive, safe, and fun learning environment for campers aged 7-15. Unlike bunk counselors, this role does not involve living with campers, allowing you to focus fully on delivering an exceptional program experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all aspects of the culinary arts program at camp
- Manage a team of instructors, ensuring engaging, age-appropriate lessons
- Oversee kitchen safety, cleanliness, and organization within the culinary studio
- Guide campers through fun, hands-on cooking projects, from cupcakes to cultural cuisine
- Collaborate with the program team on scheduling and special events
- Be a positive, energetic presence who empowers campers to try new things and develop skills
