Camp Fernwood, a residential summer camp in Maine, is seeking highly motivated instructors to teach at our waterskiing program during summer 2025! (June 14-August 8).
At Fernwood, they will have the incredible opportunity to teach girls ages 8-15 with diverse levels of experience. The successful candidate will join a vibrant team of 150 staff members from around the globe, participating in an engaging seven-week program designed exclusively for girls. Each day will be filled with a variety of exciting activities, making this a truly enriching experience!
This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience, develop your skills, and inspire creativity in young campers. As a member of our waterskiing team, you’ll lead lessons, teach essential skiing techniques, and help campers experience the thrill of being on the water. You'll be part of a dynamic and supportive environment where teamwork and adventure thrive.
Our waterskiing program consists of:
- Skill Development: Campers learn the fundamentals of waterskiing, including proper stance, balance, and techniques for getting up on skis. Instruction is tailored to accommodate various skill levels, from beginners to more advanced skiers.
- Safety First: Safety is a top priority, and campers receive thorough training on water safety practices, equipment usage, and emergency procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.
- Hands-On Training: Participants engage in hands-on practice with experienced instructors, receiving personalized guidance and support as they develop their skiing skills. This includes both individual and group lessons.
- Variety of Activities: The program includes a mix of waterskiing styles, such as slalom skiing and trick skiing, as well as fun activities like tubing and wakeboarding, allowing campers to explore different aspects of water sports.
