About the Role: Camp Judaea is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Summer Operations Manager to oversee camp operations, logistics, and scheduling for our dynamic summer program. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth and well-organized camp experience for campers and staff. You will lead a team of two Logistics Coordinators and work closely with the leadership team to manage the daily activity schedule, electives, supply distribution, and overall camp operations/logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling: Oversee the daily camp schedule, including six rotational activity blocks and electives.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support two Logistics Coordinators in managing supply inventory, staff requests, laundry service, day-to-day logistics, and all-camp/special program logistics.
- Problem-Solving: Serve as the go-to person for operational challenges, from supply management to last-minute schedule adjustments.
- Supplies: Manage the procurement, budget, organization, and distribution of camp supplies to ensure all departments have what they need.
- Transportation: Oversee all camper and staff travel logistics. Lead and coordinate Opening Day, Closing Day, and Packing Day operations. Oversee all busses/transportation during summer.
- AV Supervision: Oversee AV equipment setup, storage, and maintenance for camp-wide events and activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Excel/Google Sheets/Asana (or other project management tool) preferred
- Ability to lead a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in camp, Jewish non-profit, logistics, or event coordination is a plus
