POSITION OVERVIEW - CDL Class A/B w/Tanker Endorsement (preferred) Lubricants Bulk Oil Driver - Lubricants Division

We are currently seeking a reliable/responsible Lubricants Bulk Oil Truck Driver to join our team. As a Lubricants Bulk Oil Truck Driver, your primary responsibility will be to safely transport various types of oils, such as motor oil, diesel oil, hydraulic oil, etc. to designated locations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of motor oil products while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines. A DRIVER MUST:

Possess a valid, current Class A/Class B driver’s license from the State of North Carolina.

Consent to and pass pre-employment, random, reasonable cause, and post-accident drug screens.

Take and pass the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements.

Take and pass DOT required written, driving, and eye tests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Safely operate a bulk oil truck to transport motor oils to assigned destinations.
• Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure on-time delivery of motor oil products.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and functionality.
• Load and unload motor oil products using appropriate equipment and following proper safety procedures.
• Monitor and maintain accurate records of motor oil deliveries, including quantity, quality, and delivery times.
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents, spills, and other hazardous situations.
• Adhere to transportation regulations and maintain all required licenses, permits, and certifications.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on the truck, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
• Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and practices for the safe handling and disposal of motor oil products and related materials.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for transporting motor oils (e.g., tanker endorsement).
• Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with experience in transporting transferable liquids to end users.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols related to CDL transportation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform loading and unloading activities, often in various weather conditions.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all applicable rules, regulations, and protocols.
