Overview
The Project Planner/Scheduler will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of various programs by analyzing project requirements across multiple domains. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this individual will be responsible for coordinating efforts between departments, ensuring compliance with project deadlines, and optimizing resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise, project management experience, and a strong analytical mindset to support continuous improvement efforts within our growing operations.
Functional Description
- Collaborate with engineering, product design, and the operations team to develop a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Research and devise innovative continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Communicate project plans and updates to all stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Utilize data analysis to optimize resource allocation and streamline business processes.
- Stay current with industry and technical advancements to continuously deploy cutting-edge project management techniques.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead project strategist to identify and integrate new data sources and methodologies into the role.
- Conduct analytical experiments to resolve project related issues across various domains.
- Identify and collect relevant data for project needs, integrating structured and unstructured datasets for better planning.
- Devise and implement algorithms and models to predict project timelines, analyze errors, and ensure data uniformity and accuracy.
- Analyze data trends to anticipate potential delays and proactively address capacity constraints.
- Execute load and capacity analysis of multiple areas within the site (Paint, Electrical Workshop, Test) and collaborate closely with the engineering and transportation teams.
- Implement project plans with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring cost control and performance metrics are maintained.
Education/Training Required
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in data analysis and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera), and data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python.

- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Must be a self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills essential for day-to-day operations.
- Experience in the railway or manufacturing sector a plus.
