Introduction: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of IT to join our growing team in Jupiter, Florida. This leadership role will oversee all aspects of our IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology initiatives, including system and network protection, project management, remote team management, and budgeting for new locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of proactive cybersecurity strategies, project management, and the ability to negotiate with software vendors and service providers to ensure the efficiency and success of IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Cybersecurity Management:
- Develop and implement proactive cybersecurity strategies to protect company data, networks, and systems from potential threats.
- Regularly assess and strengthen IT infrastructure to ensure the highest level of security, compliance, and risk management.
- Monitor and respond to emerging security threats, ensuring the safety of sensitive company and customer information.
IT Project Management:
- Lead and manage IT projects, including the implementation of a new paperless project, ensuring all technology needs align with business operations and goals.
- Develop project timelines, resources, and deliverables while managing cross-functional collaboration between departments.
- Oversee the technical aspects of the project, including system integration, user adoption, and troubleshooting.
Remote Team Management:
- Manage and support a remote IT team of three professionals based in California, ensuring consistent performance, communication, and collaboration across locations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to remote staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources to succeed in their roles.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Manage the IT budget, including hardware and software costs for new locations, ensuring cost-efficiency while maintaining high-performance systems.
- Negotiate service contracts with software companies and service providers to optimize value, performance, and cost for the organization.
Strategic IT Planning:
- Evaluate current IT systems, networks, and software to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends, tools, and best practices to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
- Collaborate with senior management to align IT strategies with broader business goals and growth objectives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 7-10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and project management.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies, including risk management, network security, and data protection.
- Strong project management experience, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience managing remote teams and ensuring effective collaboration and performance across different time zones.
- Extensive knowledge of IT budgeting, hardware/software costs, and vendor negotiations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with team members, executives, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and IT governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM) or project management (e.g., PMP).
Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
