Cetera Financial Group is seeking a Senior Alternative Investment Sales Specialist to add to our National Sales Desk team that will be responsible for driving sales through prospecting and providing casework assistance to financial advisors with conceptual discussions, product selection, and presentations. This is a sales role that involves making proactive phone calls to advisors to increase sales as well as responding to inbound calls, emails, and additional sales-related responsibilities. The position requires occasional travel for client regional meetings, conferences and sales events. This position will be hybrid, work from home and from your nearest Cetera office in Dallas, TX, Des Moines, IA, St. Cloud, MN, St. Paul, MN, El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA.
What you will do:
- Relationship building and engagement with advisors and with alternative investment Sponsors.
- Manage the alternative investment sales opportunities and pipeline.
- Be a subject matter expert on alternative investments as well as the investment banking services provided by our partners, Allegiance Capital Corporation and Cornerstone Financial.
- Create and execute sales and marketing campaigns to drive sales and leverage advisor and end-investor data to maximize success.
- Responsible for providing education and training for internal colleagues and advisors around best practices utilizing alternative investment solutions.
- Increase advisor engagement toward incorporating alternative investment solutions within their holistic financial plans.
- Work with product sponsors and leverage their sales teams to engage with advisors for sales support, and sales training and to help FPs close cases successfully.
- Collaborate with internal partners on large cases and continually educate them on the value of integrating alternative investments for retail clients.
- Embrace continuous learning, including regulations, through participation in due diligence events to guide advisors and internal partners by explaining trends and developments in your area of expertise.
- Writing and managing content and news items about alternative investments.

What you will have:
- Thorough understanding of financial markets and the alternative investment space.
- Demonstrated written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and speaking skills.
- 5-7 plus years of experience in the financial services industry and product support or equivalent.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Travel Requirements: Up to (15%)
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000, plus a competitive sales incentive compensation of $25,000-$30,000. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
