Executive Housekeeper
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping department of our esteemed establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry, ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a team effectively while also being involved in day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures that adhere to industry standards for quality and safety.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
- Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain records related to housekeeping activities, including staff schedules, inspections, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping supervision within the hospitality sector or related fields such as industrial cleaning or custodial services.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, reach above shoulders, kneel, twist, and grip items.
- Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk frequently and for long periods of time.
- Must be able to respond to visual and auditory cues (telephone, radio, computer)
- Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Aility to lift and carry objects weighing an average of 25-50 pounds.
