Operations manager is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience, managing staff, and ensuring the hotel's standards of service are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a focus on customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Check-in and Check-out:
- Ensure efficient and prompt check-in and check-out procedures for all guests.
- Verify guest reservations, assign rooms, and provide necessary information regarding hotel services and amenities.
- Handle any special requests or accommodations for guests during check-in/check-out.
Guest Services:
- Act as a point of contact for guest inquiries, complaints, and requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Resolve guest concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that guest complaints are handled efficiently and in accordance with hotel policies.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor at all times.
Supervision of All Staff :
- Manage, train, and supervise staff, ensuring they follow standard operating procedures and provide excellent customer service.
- Schedule front desk shifts and ensure proper staffing levels are maintained during peak times.
- Monitor staff performance, providing feedback, coaching, and development as needed.
Operations and Procedures:
- Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring smooth coordination between departments.
- Ensure the front desk area is well-maintained, clean, and organized.
- Ensure that all guest check-in and check-out information is entered accurately into the property management system (PMS).
Guest Reservations & Room Assignments:
- Assist with managing reservations, ensuring rooms are allocated efficiently and accurately.
- Work closely with the sales and reservations teams to ensure proper room availability and maximize occupancy.
Billing and Payment Processing:
- Oversee billing procedures, ensuring all charges are correctly posted to guest accounts and payments are processed in accordance with hotel policies.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and billing discrepancies promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports related to front office operations.
Coordination with Other Departments:
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure guest requests and issues are addressed quickly and efficiently.
- Ensure that guest room status information is communicated between the front desk and housekeeping departments.
Guest Satisfaction and Quality Control:
- Monitor guest feedback and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular audits of guest services and procedures to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
- Ensure that all VIP and loyalty guests are given personalized attention and services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.25 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
