We are seeking a Store Manager to oversee evening and weekend operations, ensuring smooth store performance, compliance, and an exceptional customer experience. If you have strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and a passion for cannabis, we encourage you to apply!
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the dispensary team during evening and weekend shifts, bridging the budtenders, security and order fulfillment staff.
- Ensure compliance with all New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) by executing the company’s standard operating procedures.
- Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and store security.
- Train, mentor, and support budtenders and other staff to enhance product knowledge and customer engagement.
- Monitor sales performance and strategize with ownership to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and efficiently to maintain a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant retail space, ensuring all products are properly labeled and displayed.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and loss prevention measures.
- Collaborate with ownership on promotions, events, and operational improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years of retail management experience, preferably in a cannabis, pharmacy, or highly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of customer service, sales, and compliance in a retail environment.
- Experience managing a team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Must be 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in New York.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with equivalent education/experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of New York cannabis regulations and prior experience in the industry.
- Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software. Experience with FlowHub is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced retail setting.
