Job Title: Multi-Subject Teacher for School House
Location: In Home, Tooele, UT
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
We are looking for an enthusiastic Multi-Subject Teacher to join our School House community. The teacher will be responsible for implementing a fully developed educational program that includes reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning experiences, including science experiments, creative arts, movement, nature and so much more. As our teacher you will have parent involvement during class time, support from all of the families involved in our school, flexible work schedule and the chance to build this Micro School with an amazing community of parents and students. Our class sizes will be small and our schedule flexible. We are creating a new model for education and are looking for amazing talented teachers who can help us.
About Us:
We are a home learning group of about 20 students ages 5-12 and are part of a hybrid education program at a local charter school called Canyon Grove Academy. We value creating community, the outdoors, and play as a part of our learning. We are creating efficiency in educating our children in a way that is outside of the box, and gives our children more time outside the classroom.
Our curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning experiences and multi-sensory learning, including science experiments, creative arts, and practical activities to engage young learners and cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
All curriculum will be provided and you will be completely supported by our parent group.
Responsibilities:
Deliver a multi-disciplinary curriculum for children aged 5-12 ( class size may vary by age depending on the lesson and subject)
Organize and lead interactive and educational activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
Create a vibrant, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
Collaborate with members of the microschool to plan and coordinate lessons.
Collaborate with other teachers in the microschool and Canyon Grove Academy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
Valid teaching certification
Proven experience in teaching multiple subjects to young children, ideally in a homeschool or small group setting.
Strong knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices.
Creative and artistic skills to craft engaging lessons.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to teach a wide range of subjects creatively.
Proficiency in creating and adapting educational materials.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Patience and flexibility to adapt to varying educational needs.
