Job Summary:
The Bank Teller will complete deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions while providing excellent customer service to all customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cashes checks and disburses funds after verifying signatures and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals.
- Accepts deposits, confirming accuracy of transaction.
- Prepares, verifies, and issues official bank checks including Treasurer’s Checks and Money Orders
- Enters transactions in bank’s core system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts.
- Evaluates checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents.
- Completes Check Cashing Logs as needed
- Performs OFAC checks as needed
- Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote new banking services.
- Calculates daily transactions using appropriate technology.
- Balances all monies in cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Tends to the coin machine as needed.
- Performs all duties regarding night deposits, including opening the night drop under dual control, verify night bags, perform requested transactions, and mail receipts.
- Maintains a work area that ensures the safety of all negotiables and confidential records.
- Processes outgoing mail on postage machine and deliver outgoing mail to mailbox.
- Completes training as assigned.
- Remain up to date on new systems and technologies in order to work efficiently in Bank platforms.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Cashier experience or student staff member of high school branch desirable.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience working directly with the public is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
·Must be able to lift as much as 15 pounds at times.
·May need to stand for long periods of time.
