GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Social and Digital Marketing Content Specialist serves as a key contributor in developing and executing messaging strategies in the College's digital spaces, including social media, the public website, and associated information portals for students, faculty, and staff. Leveraging modern storytelling approaches in social and digital media and a strong understanding of engagement tactics, this position will play a key role in shaping the public message of 4Cs showcasing authentic student and campus experiences. Along with those skills, this position demands strong writing skills, understanding of mobile video and photo storytelling, and brand positioning. It also requires strong interpersonal skills, understanding of relevant social media technologies, and the ability to manage time and multiple projects under tight deadlines.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Create engaging content aimed at telling the story of the 4Cs experience to prospective students and strengthening student engagement on campus.
- Work with the rest of the Strategic Communications and Marketing team to manage content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Capture riveting, modern, and effective photos and video content for social media, the College's web platforms, and other digital channels to enhance brand reputation.
- Creatively and proactively cover College events and spotlight the students, faculty, and staff of the College.
- Assist in developing and implementing digital and social media campaigns to support enrollment and brand awareness initiatives.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in higher education digital marketing.
- Work collaboratively with the Strategic Marketing and Communications team to develop content calendars and strategies for event coverage and story opportunities.
- Communicates with faculty and staff to determine social media and digital communications needs.
- Works actively with other areas of the College to ensure a spirit of college wide collaboration, collegiality, civility, and teamwork.
- Provides flexible, responsive and high-quality service to all, including students, community, and staff, and continuously assesses processes and procedures and revising accordingly.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in closely related field.
- Proficiency in managing and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social networking sites.
- Strong understanding of modern content creation strategies and channels within social media and digital marketing.
- Strong portfolio of social media, videography, and/or photography work for marketing and storytelling.
- Commitment to the community college mission and vision.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior social and digital media content creation experience.

Additional Information:
COMPENSATION: Annual Salary Range of $55,000-$60,000 (dependent upon qualifications). Full-time, Non-Unit Professional Position. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program including option for membership in the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement System.
