Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic and well-connected Cape Connector to join our team in O'ahu. Connectors are responsible for leveraging their personal networks and the networks of the broader team to find and onboard Hosts for Airbnb Experiences. Connectors must be able to ideate and identify a wide enough funnel of potential Hosts to ensure they can onboard and platform hosts in accordance to guidelines.
Role reports to North American West Coast Regional Lead
Role is based in O’ahu and requires ability to meet in-person with Hosts
Contract is for entirety of 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Network Utilization: Leverage personal and broader team networks to identify potential Hosts who can provide compelling and authentic Experiences for Airbnb.
- Host Recruitment: Actively seek out and engage with potential Tier 2 Hosts (Local Experts), ensuring they meet the high standards expected by Airbnb and Cape Creative.
- Experience Design: Work with Hosts to create unique Experiences best suited to the Host’s skills and background, while also being the most compelling offering for Airbnb customers.
- Onboarding Support: Work closely with Project Managers to onboard all Hosts quickly and efficiently with all information needed to get their Experiences live on Airbnb platforms.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Regional Lead to align activities with overall company objectives and regional strategies.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Hosts, ensuring ongoing support and engagement.
- Cultural Representation: Ensure that the Hosts and Experiences authentically represent the cultural fabric of their respective cities, appealing to young travelers.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a role that required extensive networking and relationship building, preferably within a creative or marketing agency, or a related industry.
- Network: Strong personal network within the home city, with the ability to leverage connections to attract top talent.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Cultural Understanding: In-depth knowledge of the local culture and market dynamics of the city.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Language & Computer Skills: Proficiency in local language and English is required; Basic computer skills and familiarity with G Suite tools.
