Busy surgical ophthalmology practice has an opening for a Patient Service Representative.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greets and registers patients
- Verifies insurance and demographic information
- Collects co-pays and patient payments
- Answers the telephone professionally and pleasantly. Efficiently screens and directs calls and make appointments as necessary.
- Answers basic patient billing questions
- Monitors and resolves registration errors
- Schedules and tracks referrals
- Demonstrates working knowledge of practice management software and electronic medical records
- Other duties, responsibilities and activities as needed
- Travel to other offices will be required when needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
