Incumbents in this position is responsible for inspecting sewer lines with a video camera to locate line breaks and other potential problems.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Performs comprehensive video inspections of water and sewer systems using remote controlled camera and television monitors, records, and documents inspection.Uses Maximo software to receive, log, and report work orders.Uses blueprints and GIS to locate water and sewer related lines, valves, meters, manholes, and clean outs using video and television equipment.Locates sewer manholes and cleanouts.Sets up traffic control for assigned vehicle/equipment.Responds to reports of sewer and water line related problems.Performs preventive maintenance on video equipment and assigned vehicle.Trains assigned personnel in equipment maintenance and operation.Assists repair crews with water and sewer line repairs and installations.Performs other related job duties as assigned.In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
