What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Roofing Consultant position at Capital City Roofing?

Please note this is a 1099 role which is 100% commission based.

Overview -
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Roofing Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building leads, assessing roofing needs, providing expert recommendations, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have a strong personal network, the ability to build a large contact list of residential home owners and experience in 1099 sales roles.

Duties

Drive your own leads by building a large list of homeowner contacts by utilizing your own network, networking in your area and door knocking. The earning potential is sky high IF you are willing to spend most of your time networking and/ or knocking on doors at homes that may have damaged roofs.
Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial roofs to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Understand insurance inspections and the claims process.
Collaborate with clients to understand their roofing needs and provide tailored solutions.

Skills

To earn a home owners business a residential consultant must be friendly, honest and persuasive.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Willingness to spend most of your time networking to build your own pipeline.
Willingness to identify roof damage and knock on customers door to offer a free inspection.
Ability to climb ladders to get on roofs to perform inspections.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Commission-

The average total commission on a roof is around $4,000. Capital City pays an industry leading 50% of this commission to new consultants. Meaning for each roof you sell you can expect to make $2,000 in commission. This means if you sell just one roof a week you could clear $100,000 per year in commissions. When the Austin area gets a large hail storm (which is quite common) a consultant with a strong network and great negotiation skills can easily clear $150,000 in annual commissions.
